Film Enthusiast Bio

“I am a film fan first. A film critic second.”

First off, thank you so much for visiting Film Enthusiast. We hope that there is enough good content here to keep you coming back over and over again.

I grew up with movies. I’ve probably loved movies more than I’ve loved food! So it is my absolute pleasure and honour to be running Film Enthusiast.

Film Enthusiast is not your typical movie website. For one, we are a production studio. We help filmmakers develop low budget content right from idea conception to finding a distribution model that works for them. Obviously, you won’t see much of that here just yet. As we are a new company still evolving, our site acts primarily as my own film blog.

Film Enthusiast is about preserving the cinematic experience through intellectual discussions.

As a filmmaker and film fan, I have a responsibility to engage people into thinking better about the movies, whether it be understanding story structure to seeing all sides of the online vs theatre debate.

I have been working in the film industry for over ten years as an actor, writer, and director. My short film, Thank You, was awarded the Audience Choice for Best Short Film at the Lost Episode Festival Toronto’s 50 Hour Film Competition 2015.

Since then, I have continued to work in the movies as well as writing for a variety of websites including BloodBath and Beyond, as well as That’s Not Current.

Through this, I believe I have been able to foster an in depth and first hand perspective of the inner workings of the cinema as an art form and as a business. I hope my opinions will prove to be valuable to all my readers / viewers.

Until then, I’ll see you at the movies!
